While the majority of the posts on my blog are dedicated to prematurity (with the occasional teasing of my husband), this blog post will be dedicated to 2 children who are missing.
Their family needs your help.
Please take a moment to look at the information and study the pictures. Please do NOT assume that you won't be able to help because of the location of the abduction. Many abducted children are taken far away from the point where they were taken. Also, just because these boys were taken by their father, please do NOT assume it is not as serious as a stranger abduction.
If you would like to help, you can print posters from the following link:

No matter what I do, the picture of the boys' father keeps getting cut off. Please visit the websites listed to see his picture.
Hi Stacy,
I think it's too bad that broadcast/bulletins like this do not give more details about WHY this situation has happened. I know that many folks have extremely ambivilent feelings about what can be a custodial interference situation. Not all cases where one parent (mother or father) winds up with sole custody is just a benign legal decision - there may have been a history of documented abuse etc.. I think children who are truly endanger from their biological parents deserve a better shot at having the same kind of attention that the country gives to 'stranger abductions' if the situation is really dangerous. As it is, we don't 'see' these milk carton kids as it is (have you ever seen the Dateline where they created "lost" posters and then had someone walk the child through a public place filled with their picture - and almost no one even noticed and only 2 or 3 even tried to do anything).
Those poor children... their mother must be heartbroken right now.
I hope they are found soon.
Sheila, you are so right, not enough attention is given to parental abductions.
I've updated the original post.

My heart sank when I read that story online this morning even before reading your blog. I thought how tragic. How preventable. Our culture cannot survive the callous disregard we give to our families and our children. This is a situation clearly in need of some heroes. I suspect as the economy continues to decline, folks who were marginally "holding it together" will unravel... just here in SoCal this year we've had an unprecidented number of family anihilations.. Our silence is a powerful evil force.

I just found your blog from a link on "Running a Hospital." I have been a NICU nurse for many moons, and this site is wonderful. On a personal note, I have a nephew who was born at 31 weeks, and is now 5 yeas old. He is very healthy, but "challenging" to say the least. Thanks for your blog!
I let out a shicked sigh when I read they weren't found alive. How awful.
